Not worth it, only a handful of algorithms are CPU mineable and even modern CPU's (which under load use LESS power then old CPU's do at Idle) can't even turn a profit anymore, you would need basically free power to even make anything with them and who knows if they will ever earn enough to pay for themselves (for reference a Ryearns about maybe 20 cents a day (give or take 5 cents) since the Monero fork a few weeks ago but at the US national Average of 11 cents per KwH (even just basing it on the ADDED LOAD over idle of about 60 watts) costs about 16 cents a day in power, for reference a Q6600 based system draws the same power at idle as the 1700 does under load (based on my personal experience).
